Building a deck?

Question:We live in BC Canada and i can not find anything on height requirements for our rail on our deck... can anyone help me out?

Answers:
Here in Alberta the height is 42" from top of deck to top of railing. Also no more then 4 inch spacing between the rungs. If you're using wood, I would space them no more than 3.5" as wood shrinks some. I always use a piece of 2X4 to space them out.

Not sure about Canada, but in the US the height of a deck rail is usually 36" from top of decking to the top of your railing.
