I think the answer depends on what they go on. I think you could definately eliminate polka dots regardless. But stripes could be bad on somethings as well.

Stripes for sure. Polka dots are cute but they are limited in terms of style. So are flowers. Whereas stripes can come in many widths, variations of color combinations, can be dressed up or down and really never goes out of style. What is it for?
