Yellow tile under carpet?

Question:I recently removed my carpet and found that I have tile that turned yellow underneath. How do I get the tile back to the original color or is it stuck that way now?

Answers:
Unfortunately, you will probably not be able to remove the yellowing. Most of the time it is caused by a chemical reaction which permanently leaves the tile yellow.

if you have already tried some cleaners, then it will be permanent
I put an area rug over some new carpet and the carpet turned yellow so I assume this is the same reaction. I called a carpet cleaner out and they sprayed it with a citrus smelling cleaner that immediately whitened it.
