oh man i hate rattan!..oh so tacky-licious...it breaks really easy anways.
I like rattan and bamboo they are pretty and light weight.
Don't it is decorative only, does not wear well.
Rattan has its place in decorating. It looks good but is not too practical. I think that it goes well in a beach home, lake house, or guest cottage. I would not use in my everyday decorating of my home. If you have a beachy theme, it might go well.
I suggest that you only use rattan with lamps, magazine holders, frames, etc. Rattan is not that durable, and is usually just used as an accent piece. Lots of beach homes have rattan chairs however, and rattan mirrors and baskets look really nice.
