Low bearing wall?

Question:My home is a 1953 cape.their was an addition added for a kitchen. Now I want to open up a wall from my living room going into this addition to make my living room bigger and the kitchen smaller.Would that wall be a wall bearing wall since it was and addition added.

Answers:
It's "load-bearing," and from what you describe I believe it would be a bearing wall. Consult an architect to be sure.

You might still be able to open up the wall, but you might have to install a new, beefier header above the opening and you may not want the expense.

Good luck!

More than likely it is a load bearing wall, meaning it is supporting the roof. You can still take out the wall, will have to put in some sort of beam to carry the weight of the roof.
I think it's load bearing wall
