Anyone had "solar protection" on their furniture?

Question:My husband and I just bought a new couch and loveseat today and they are white and we have a dog and we are having a baby in the next month, so we figured white furniture wasn't the best idea .. but they are putting "solar protection" on it, it's some kind of seal? and they said it makes it easy to wipe off spills so they don't stain ... has anyone heard of it?? has anyone had the "solar protection"??
thanks!

**it's guaranteed for 10 years. They said if anything is spilled on it and we cant get the mark off, they will send someone out for free to fix it .. and if they can't fix it, they will replace the couch.**

Answers:
try soil protection. one brand is called "scotch guard" but there are others. If you have a baby and a dog, and even a sloppy husband, it is a good idea. Check their price, and the price of a couple cans at K-Mart.
The car dealers like to try to add this on too, calling it "fabric protection".
