How can I decorate a very tall stairwell?
Question:I have a stairwell leading to the second floor of our home. It's very tall and looks especially barren before the first landing (three in all). It's a lot of expansive space to cover. We're putting crown molding up to bring down the height. Pictures might work but they would have to be huge. Tapestries don't thrill me. Any ideas??

I believe that Aaron Brothers is having it yearly buy one frame get one for a penny sale until the 22nd you could get posters and frame them or you could take a calender with good pictures frame them and group together three of each or four of each in a square well spaced to create a geometric elements for to accomodate the space and depending on your taste you could get landscape pictures, cars, planes, travel locations, you may also get other ideas from HGTV if you have it they are really good for things you would not have thought of before!!
Good Luck
You could (if you like them) go to your local craft store and see if they have long bamboo or reeds, tall flowers or something along those lines and create an arrangement and hang them in the space.
it depends on your style, but if it were me, i would buy a bunch of frames in various sizes (thrift store, or wherever) and paint them all the same color (spray paint) and then scatter them close together, but not touching, all over the wall randomly w/ random pics in black and white. so u have this tight cluster of pics. it's ineteresting and ecclectic!
