I would like to colorwash my kitchen cabinets. They are currently whitewash oak.?

I believe that a product (woodscapes) from sherwin williams, can be used. I dont believe that it was necessarily intended to be used in this manner, but i think you can. Make sure you test an area first. You will have to sand with a fine sandpaper then stain then a finish will need to be applied. It a pretty big undertaking but where theres a will... I would use the latex based finish. The woodscapes comes in a varitey of colors. So check it out. One other thing you could try would to choose the color of paint you want to use. And thin it a bit to your specific look that you are wanting to achieve. But if you use this technique it should be oil based and probalbly be an eggshell of semi gloss finish. Which ever you decide, just take your time. Subtle washes are much more appealing.
