Has anyone ever brought a new sofa from land of leather?
Question:I'm thinking of buying a new one myself from there and wondered if they lasted and also what sort of service you have recieved
Answers:
Don't waste money on their warranty or insurance policy. It is better to buy an independent Leather Protection Plan if you can. This will give a personal service of protecting your suite and cover you for stain removal and some other problems.
I bought one in Feb with delivery mid-march.
All was fine in store until we refused their insurance (£250 for 5 years!) At this, the clerk turned into a right sh*thead!!
But the sofas are fine and delivery etc were all top class.
Yes I got a 3 piece cream leather one with reclining which is great and have had for about two years. Pretty cheap to. Only problem I had was they use a sub contractor to deliver and ended up a day late so I had wasted a day off work waiting for them.
I had a bad experience with them, I had to cancel my order as I hadn;t jusged the size of it before I purchased it...I should have still bought it as it ended up cosying me nearly £300 to cancel!!
Be careful
dont go near them when something goes wrong with the sofa they dont do anything to help you
if you google 'land of leather, problems' you'll get all the info you need. I heard that delivery wasnt great and quality was sometimes poor. I decided not to use them but some people seem happy enough.
yes we bought a leather suite 5 years ago from land of leather and its still in very good condition! plus we recieved very good service!
Dont buy from Land of leather they have a bad reputation and the leather they use is really cheap. Buy from DFS they have good leather suites and last for years, I have young children and my suite still looks like new, it is four years old.
terrible trouble with LOL we purchased the most expensive 3/2/1 reclining suite they had. Promised 12 to 14 week delivery we took them at their word and gave our old suite away and ended up with garden furniture in our lounge for 3 weeks. After 6 months the suite began to sag all over they wanted to repair but we insisted on new one another 3 month delivery wait was on, we eventually got delivery and 5/6 months later it began to sag like first one.we drove the 70 miles to LOL and insisted they change the suite for a different model which they did after a lot of arguements. the new suite has had numerous little jobs done to it broken springs ect but the biggest problem was for 6 months we had been trying to get them to replace collapsed foam in all seats they used all the jargon not faulty material /manufacturing issues until guarantee was up then it became an insurance job.The insurance Technician checked the suite and agreed that it was a fault as the springs had cut into the foam to half the foam depth there was no safety material between foam and springs also just 3 springs fitted instead of standard 5.The insurance technician spent 12 hours re foaming and repairing seats fitting correct amount of suspension ect.
We are glad we took out the 5 yr insurance at least they stood over their commitments.and did not try and pass the buck.
was told not to touch them. leather is only on the front and sides the back of them are pvc
