i have to agree that blue does a calming effect... what does u'r son like? Does he like space... cars... etc... U could even paint the ceiling a darker blue so it would represent nt-time & put stars on it..even ones that glow -in -the dark ( craft stores & toy stores should carry them ) OR even take glow -in the dark paint (from craft stores) & go over several of the stars w/ the paint ( it's clear) & it wll glow for awhile & mayb enuff for him to fall asleep.

Blue. I am a 1st Grade teacher and I have done much research on how children react to rooms based on colors when choosing a paint color for my classroom walls. What I have found is that blue is known to bring down blood pressure and slow respiration and heart rate. That’s why it’s considered calming, relaxing, and serene, and is often recommended for bedrooms and bathrooms.
Blue, green, or beige. All of these are calming and neutral colors.
