..and if all else fails, eave them in a box near your street with a big sign that says FREE!
someone will take them.
Give to Good Will. You can get a tax deduction.
I don't know where you are, but Freecycle.org is a great way to get rid of clutter, and to get more clutter as well. I have given much of my son's out grown clothes away and many books and toys as well. I have also gotten quite a few things I needed on there. Try it.
Do what I do, sell the books on Amazon. The instructions on their site are very easy, and you even get money to pay for shipping the items. You might be surprised- some of the books I've sold have gone for over $25.00 when I would have received less than $5 in credit at the local second hand book shop.
Get rid of things you don't need-give them to goodwill or make some extra money by taking them to a consignment shop, or have a garage sale. Buy storage shelves, organize everything.
Try asking your public library. Many times they will sell books for fundraising.
Donate things you no longer want or need to places like the Salvation Army or Goodwill. Make a list of your items and get a receipt for your tax deduction.
Call the Library, nursing home, doctor or dentist office,or local community center.I like taking magazines and books to share.I take and swap at sorority meetings also...
