Most times Goodwill will come out to your house and pick up anything you need them to, especially furniture- for free. You might also try the Salvation Army, but usually Goodwill is the only place that will do pick-ups.

You could put it on craigslist. You won't be able to get a tax deduction but there are always people willing to pick up free stuff!

Yes, I can tell you that Goodwill and Salvation Army don't pick-up anymore here. I live off rosemont and my wife managed a goodwill untill last year, she got many calls like this. She suggests you call "the good samaritan house", or , she says to call your local veterans hall. Hope this helped
