Which paint color is best for my living room?
Question:My living room is pretty big and i would like to paint all walls white except for the one wall that's most visible. shelves are brown, but the couch is bordoux red, and it's pretty much the biggest element of the room. also take in consideration that the color has to be light enough in case if i eventually i have to paint it back to white.which colors would fit best?? should i add a pattern or make it more than one color? does anyone know of a good website for wall painting?thanx
Answers:
very pale green
try using light orangish yellow. or the 1 that is kind of offwhite. not the 1 that would look like white colour gone old the the shade is bit darker then white. or how abt light turquoise n u can put a white broad strip on that. n donno abt patterns. depends on wat u like.
I would actually just use an off-white, which contrasts nicely with white paint, giving subtle color without too much darkness.
Maybe a pale yellow to offset the couch? Or a cream color would look rich and elegant.
www.sherwin-williams.com. Click on homeowner, then click on launch color visualizer. Then pick interior and living room and you can play around with different colors. Also, Better Homes & Gardens website, www.bhg.com, has some decorating ideas and interactive things you can do.
Go to http://www.sherwin-williams.com/do_it_yo...
Click "Launch Color Visualizer". If you have any questions about the website just add a comment onto your question. You can pick different rooms and try out different paint colors. I think any color would be good, so just go to the website and see what you like best. If I would pick though, I would pick a goldish-yellow.
Good Luck!
a light brown would look nice with the red and the couch. also, it would be easy to paint over.
