I want to give my room a hindu indian look..how do I? Will white furniture look ugly w/ the theme?
Question:Do yall think that white furniture will look ugly with that theme?(reds, purples, oranges) My room has white furniture, I thought about staining my furniture, but I dont want 2 sand down my furniture and than paint it. Is there any way I can just stain or paint my furniture w/out taking off the paint?
Answers:
Keep it white, it'll contrast with the theme very well, on top of that white I believe is in the Indian flag. It would look cool I reckon. Keep it white, the tone would look good it goes with everything and anything.
ya but it wont look as good.i think white is a fine. its like black can go wit anythin
That will look fine. Make sure you get lots of accessories.
Well I want to grow up to be a designer, so i may be a little help. so Yeah you want the Indian type look, then you could use these colors tan or light browns, some reds, and offf-whites, and other browns and bright colors.
NO the White couch wouldnt look good, if it was a dark off white it may, you just ave to have the right excessories for your room to make it all come together.
ok a good stain would work, like a dark brown maybe. if your sheets on your bed match the bright colors, and you have the white couch and whits furniture, it will be alright i think, just not the best
I think the white would look fine if you have enough stuff in there you wont notice the color of the furniture. I have the same look i have gold walls. Purple and red curtains. Brown carpet ans an orange and purple and red bedspread. And my furniture is wood and normally it wouldn't match but you don't notice it.
consider offwhites for this project. benjamin moore has tons of offwhite colors. some of them look like colors and could make a person say "what? that's not white!" but the reason those are still called offwhite is because when they're next to bold colors they look white. they are meant to be used for situations just like the one you described. go to benjaminmoore dot com
