Teenage Bedroom Question ...?
Question:Ok, so this question is about my bedroom and decorating. Its kinda boring really. I want it to be really personalized and really cool looking, just a normal teenages room, but mine looks like an adults. I have one poster up, but i dont really like putting up posters because they get dated so quick, so what can i do, my desk has absolutly nothing on it bar my laptop and a lamp, So what can I do? How to i get my room looking like a cool teenage haven ? lol
Answers:
Do something really modern. Guys rooms don't have to be overly decorated or need lots of "stuff" and clutter. Pick some colors you like and use them boldly in a few places. Pair it with black, white and/or gray to complete the modern look. Rather than posters, use art or make your own canvases to decorate the walls, these wont go out of style like posters will. Make sure there is lots of room to people to sit if they come over to hang out.

what kind of stuff are you into? do a nautical theme with pix of boats , or horses, or maybe you collect something? put some color in the room by painting or by new covers on the bed... just try to keep it picked up so that you can get in and out !

make a bigposter of all the things you like.
print pictures off line.
put up your favorite band pics
paint it.
splatter paint it.
.... i made a wallpaper boarder of all my fav cds. that looks cool. ermm. get a bean bag chair. those are cool. for ur desk... erm. i dont really know. im not a boy. my rooms painted light blue with lime green and yellow polka dots. oohhhh! of u like the yankees, u can do blue nd white pinstripes nd have the names nd numbers of the players on the team? idk. w/e u like.
Try to find road signs, and classic posters. When I was younger I "found" some signs (stop sign, one way, do not enter, no dumping etc) on the side of the road and hung those.
Get a minifridge, a cd player, a tv, whatever.
Also dont be afraid of putting posters up- who cares, it's your room- if you like whats on the psoter put it there. Cover your wall in a massive collage of posters and bands etc.

Get retro and colourful stuff.
Get interesting stuff that will make people tell you your room is cool, such as a beanbag chair or an inflatable chair or a chair that hangs from the ceiling.
Also let it get a bit messy so it looks more teenage, after all, I'm a messy teenager and you'd know I was one from my room :P

It has been a while since I had a "teenagers" room but I can Tell you what mine looked like. I loved cutting pictures out of magazines, sometimes just random pictures that seemed really cool to me at the time or pictures of musicians I was into etc. I would also put random stuff on my walls that meant something to me or had a story behind it. For an example I had the back pocket to a pair of jeans up there with a pencil in it and a fake tattoo on it. It had a story behind it, won't get into it now. That kind of stuff makes for good conversation pieces. Also, a really cool thing to do is go get different throw pillows (different sizes, shapes and colors). You can find them cheap if you look and you can collect them over time. Put them in a corner of the room and people will automatically gravitate to this "comfy" spot to hang out, and it keeps people off your bed, which drives me nuts. Just use your imagination and good luck!

have fun and go to alot of stores and just decide over time what works and what doesnt. go to vintage places or thrift shops for ideas
