What process used to bring back luster & shine of 50year old cherry Mohogony bed room furniture?

I guess I'm just a little old fashioned, the wax idea sound best to me, if you really feel you have to do something,
You know if it's clean then the rest is history, the value, if it has value will be diminished by doing ANY refinish.
first clean it good . then wipe it down with oil base stain , match color , then wipe again with clean dry cloth . if you want it richer, repeat . if you want the the finish deeper give it a coat of urethane . this is kind of a short cut to refinishing.
Clean it very good then use a paste wax and polish it with a dry cloth.
