What should I do to re-do my room?
Question:I am an 11 year old, I am totally not girly, i like green, blue and black. I want something fun but totally cool. I have a quite small room but I can do something. My bro might get a different room and since his room is bigger i might go into his room which is a lil bigger. my room isnt small but i have big furniture which i am keeping. the furni is white wicker. so any ideas for paint and bedspread. and if so add some links and pics to the answer u give, which i hope u will do! thank you so much!!!

What about an underwater theme? The light blue makes a small room look larger, it will go well with the white wicker, and you won't want to change the decor when you are a little older. The trick to making the walls look like water are to rag paint it. If you want to do this, try HGTV.com for tips as well as the paint companies like Behr or Gliddon.
ok.. u want something fun but totally cool. sooooo what do U THINK as FUN & as COOL? What is u'r likes? U'r not girly.. that's cool. So if u'r not into th "girly things" then what r u into? Like do u like sports, music etc...I think u need to start there. Figure out what u likes r then sit down & write them on a piece of paper. Under ea one write down items that would go w/ u'r likes. EXAMPLE: Music.>>POP>> Favorite singer>> POSTERS>>colors IN posters>>> notes>>> guitars>>> CD's>>>>etc...etc
Then do u'r walls in that color(s)... since u like blue/green/black... paint the bttm part of the wall...blue... then the other part green then after it's dry & not tacky... take blue tape w/ pencil /tape measure/level & measure off stripes either horiz or vertical. lay u tape at the lst line & then keep laying ea tape next to ea other for about 6-7 tapes. Then take every OTHER tape off... paint the open bet .tapes.. BLACK. or white to match u'r wicker furniture. .. u could also paint notes in one area for the music... put posters up or get material from the fabric store in the clearance bin that may have all the colors or 1 or 2 of the colors & put in a cheap frame & pin up photos/notes/posters. Or cover pillows or cushions for the floor.
U said u'r rm is small due to u'r furniture. 1) can take one piece of furniture out that mayb u don't use mch? 2) can u paint the ceiling. If so.. paint the ceiling a lighter color of either the blue or green. U can even bring the ceiling paint down on 2 u'r walls about 10" & then start u'r darker colors.
U can also do u'r room in faux finishing or stripes up & down or circles...
Just stop & think what u like... figure the items that would go w/ it... the look if the blues/greens/black would go... paint u'r walls.. get accessories & use the 3rd color that u don't paint u'r wall for u'r accessories...

I wouldn't do a THEME, but I would take your favorite colors and put those colors all around the room. For an example, make your bed spread a shade of blue, make your pillows shades of green and black, get a comfy chair that's a shade of green, blue, or black, get pillows for that too. There's a lot of shades of your favorite colors so put it around your room.
For paint, you could paint stripes in a pattern of, for an example, black, green, blue, black, green, blue, and so on.
If your furniture is too big, paint the cieling a lighter color like mint green or sky blue. It'll make your room look taller and people won't notice that the furniture is a bit bigger than it should.
For accesories, get photos or acheivments etc... to put on your wall. It'll cover up a lot of space.
If you can do anything with some of your old furniture have a garage sale and sell that furniture with some other stuff your family doesn't need. If your mom or dad won't let y'all have a garage sale I guess you're stuck with the furniture. If it doesn't match the room, paint it. If you can't paint it, put it somewhere else in the house.

you can use polka dots if you like them and they rock
you can do every two opposite walls the same colour:
** 2 walls in white with black or red polka dots and the other two in red with white or black polka dots ** thats for the walls
the bedspread might be white, black or red
