How do you take the shine off of a new leather ottoman?

Question:I just purchased the ottoman and it has far too much shine to it. I want to age it up a little bit. It is real leather.

Answers:
Well, if you want to age it up without damaging it, the only way to do that is to rub it once a month with cold cream. Not only will this make the leather look less shiny, but it will make the leather more supple, soft and comfy. Just pretend it's your skin and rub the cold cream into like you would your skin... leather is skin. It will also keep your leather from cracking (which is likely with shiny leather)
