I need some creative tips on rooms without closets.?
Question:I just bought a house and the bedroom upstairs (converted from attic, now bonus room) I would like to make the master bedroom. But it has no closets and I have lots of clothes. Any space saving suggestions?
Answers:
If you have a space for it at like one end of the room, use a pressure bar to hang your clothes on. and then get some really nice particians to put infront of it. By using the pressure bar, youd have the opportunity to add multiple levels, or you can just get regular bars and then inserts for the wall to slide the bar onto. And the particians or screens you can buy to match the decore of your room, so instead of nasty looking closet doors you can have decorative screens.
HGTV has a website and a program called "This Small Space" that can give you many ideas.
Wow if I live in your area I could help you. There are specialty closet company's that create closets for you. They are designed for your needs. I have taken one wall of a room and made closets with doors and drawers that look beautiful. Look for companies such as closets by design to help you. That is the company I represent here in NC
They do have a web sight www.closetsbydesign.com
my friend has a closetless bedroom and it is working fine for her. I would suggest a large dresser, but if you have fancy clothes, of course you will need a closet. if there is enough room up there you could build a closet in a cornertwo wooden boards and then leave an opening or put a door. then on the inside nail on some closet poles! Never tried that before, and if there's not enough room it would look bad- but it could come out OK! Good Luck and I hope this helps! ~Cheeso
amour, usually they are built with drawers. also use bins/drawers that slide under your bed.
You can find some really beautiful Armoire's at furniture stores . Antique markets and flea markets can yield some pretty antique ones also.I have a beautiful cedar wardrobe that I keep my best clothes in. Its a natural insect deterrant. Keeps the moths away. Seems like attics would naturally get more and this could be helpful.
get a wardrobe. they sell them at ikea, in europe they dont have closets, they use wardrobes!
maybe pack away seasonal clothes in the garage, swap out what u need.
i had this problem in a apartment that I lived in because I have lots of clothes I went to the hardware store and bought steel plumbing pipes which I made 3 clothing racks from and had wheels put on them for easy moving, I placed them lengthwise along a wall and ran a long metal wire from wall to wall with just those screw in eye hooks and used metal clips strung them on the wire and used inexpensive pretty bed sheets to hang in front so when I wanted to look at my clothes all I had to do was pull the sheets to one end and I stored my shoes under the racks it was great and cost me about $80.00 bucks.
