Loft conversion/extention?

Question:How much would a standard loft conversion be in a typical council house? Also i live in an end terraced house where some day id like to extend - however there is a drain at the front and at the back - would this cause me problem???

Depends what you mean by standard loft conversion and who's doing the job. Could be anything from £3000- £6000.
As to your drains it's a nuisance if you have to relocate them but not a problem.
