I am having a Moroccan/Middle Eastern style put into my bedroom. What is a good kind of plant to go with it?

Yuccas,Palms, ferns.cacti. Remember any of these plants only need watering when soil is dry. If you choose ferns remember they need misting over plant,not watering from below. Cacti need very little water. Sounds a nice scheme.
