What color?

Question:Look,
I'm painting my room, but I want it to be girly with a modern touch. I'm thinking somthing like a soft lilac with a bright peach.
Any Suggestions?

P.S. NO PINK!

Answers:
the colors u choose seem very fine... if u like them go for it!

u want a girly and modern look... ok...!

- for a modern look keeping 2 or 3 colors maximum is one way... keep only yr lovely lilac and bright peach, or add a third one you like... maybe turqoise? it's up to u... use modern creative accessories, accents, and mirrors...

- for a girly look... yr colors are fine... use patterns if u love them... somewhat like floral or other modern looking patterns... also use many textures for bedding, pillows, accessories... vary, vary, vary...

- another tip... if u can change your lighting choose warm incandescent light if u like it and if u don't already have it... it's romantic and flattering...!

hope i helped...! good luck...

ps: i just realized i moved to level 3 on Y!A answering yr question... thank u!

how about yellow
try aqua
how about purple if not that y not pink with brown thats cute you know what you can never go wrong with light red or badge
Lol funny that, I was going to so a bright peach, that is both girly and modern and works well with almost any colour :)
Purple
its girly
and
rolaty..
Try a light carribean blue/green. Soft lavender and bright peach may be the way to go. Maybe soft lavender walls with all bright peach furniture should be good.
use a softer peach than you think..peach starts to look red or orange when it dries...i know!!
Liliac is nice, you could try any bold or bright colors
why not white and peach/orangey pink? feminine and classy enough. plus, white is supposed to make the room look bigger =)
I think that those colors are superb for such a room. I'm no professional decorator, but I do know a bit about painting/complementary colors/ect. Just make sure that the peach is super bright, and that the lilac is super soft.
Alternate walls, 2 peach, 2 soft lilac.

It's not the norm...
if i could change the color of my room i would paint it. half of teh wall BABY BLUE and 1/2 Apple Green
itz soooo cute
soft lilac with soft aqua'
soft liliac with soft blue
soft peach with soft buttercream yellow- splash of purple
aqua and mint green
coral and lime
lilac and metallic silver.
I would first figure out what you want for your bedding set and accessories. Finding paint colors will be much easier this way. You can then pull out one or two coordinating colors to use as your paint colors. Sometimes color combinations you would never think of look great when you are tying everything together.

Good luck!
I say, go with which ever you like best. I just hope you don't decide to do one on the wall, and the other as trim. I have yet to see a room with done in that manner that looks good. White (or beige for darker painted walls) trim always looks best, in my opinion. If you really like both, I suggest doing all three walls in one color, then the fourth in the other, as an accent wall. Happy painting! BTY: Lilac and Peach are GORGEOUS colors. I have a lavender living room myself, and am going to have a peach bathroom. Nothing transforms a room quite like paint does.
lilac with accents of white, raspberry and chocolate
I like your idea. It sounds very nice.
My suggestion, however, is this: Lavender and lime go well together - maybe tape off one wall and do vertical stripes in lavender and lime shades and then do the other 3 walls solid lavender. White woodwork and trim. Lime curtains (they look so pretty when the sun shines through). Some throw pillows and rugs in those colors and some art in white frames. This can be drawings YOU make or just pics you like off the internet. It's bright, fresh, and feminine.
That's my best suggestion.
Do you want your room dark or light? If you want it dark more looking, try light blue and lime green, those colors are very modern and aren't boyish either. If you want a light room, i think lilac and peach would look fine! Good luck!
