Decorate purple room?
Question:my room is a darker purple with a lighter shade for the ceiling and white moulding
what colours and things should i use to decorate my bedroom
(my bed, lamps, pictures etc.)

My bedroom is purple I use lavenders and white and gold and other shades of purple I think it is beautiful and very soothing to fall asleep in.
My daughters is in hot pink and dark purple

maybe a lighter purple, white, white with a design, tan, any colors that aren't to dark.
How about wood natural colors?
Purple is an odd color in that it adapts pretty well to everything. Given that, why not just stick with mostly more purple? Monochomatic rooms can be very dramatic. Use white (which doesn't really count as a color) for contrast. For accents like throw pillows google "Monet Impressionism" to see how to mix in colors like apricot gold normally found in a sunrise. Posters by Monet would be good too.
Sky blue and White.
I think silver or a brushed silver, nickel (but keeping in that silver family) in your lamps and picture frames would look great with the purple. You could incorporate some gray in your bedding, pillows, window treatments.
