Platform bed? Like or Dislike Why? How about Tempurpedics?

Question:Just wondering what to do about the next bed purchase.

Answers:
I had a Tempurpedic mattress. I love the it except it made me sweat all the time. It holds your body heat and it actually feels hot to the touch. I ended up giving it to my sister and she put a pillow top cover over it because it was the same for her, too hot. I wasted alot of money. I would try some form of air mattress like sleep number.

I personally love my platform bed I don't know what I would do without it. I no longer stub my toes or bruise my shins on the metal bed frame, my daughter(2yrs old) also enjoys not running into the metal frame. As for the tempurpedic... try something out in a store first it took me a while to get used to my new tempur. but now i love it
When we were in India last year, we slept on a raised platform bed with a 3" mattress pad. And it was VERY comfortable!

I can't believe that we waste all our money on a box spring that will just get squeaky in a couple of years! My next bed is definitely a platform.
