You could buy an old armoir or chifferobe and paint it white. These can usually be found at any antique store for less than $300.
thats a very classic style. try going to a local thrift or consignment shop & buying an old one. You can sand down any nicks or scratches and paint it with any color you want. I like using a spray paint specifically for wood. You dont get any brush strokes, and it dries quickly.

Target, Kmart and Walmartal have white armoires in stock. If you want to dress it up and make it look more like Pottery Barn items, just get new hardware and change it out. They carry the glass hardware at almost any home depot or lowe's and they really make it look nice.
