Question:carpet cleaning question? need help fast... please?
I have a mom and pop rug cleaning service on their way over. What do I need to know? Berber rugs... they said it would take 8 hours to dry. They guaranteed that the pet stains would come out, no guarantee on the smell. Any ideas?

In the future, go to Home Depot and buy a product called "Folex". It's an amazing product that actually works like those much advertised TV "special offers".
I swear by the stuff. It won't help you with the cleaners coming over now, but it WILL help you with stains in the future!

It does take a long time to completely dry. I had a really bad experience of them coming over and trying to talk me into all kinds of things I did not want, for alot of extra money. They were not happy when I said they needed to clean my rug for the price they had quoted me, nothing extra. He called his boss in front of me and complained that I was cheap! It was kinda scary but I stuck to my guns and he did clean my carpets but he made me move all the furniture MYSELF and I was 8 months pregant! Sheesh! I hope you have better luck!
If they use steam cleaning, call them now and cancel.
There is an enzyme that they/you can use to eventually get rid of the pet smell.
The stains may have 'died' the carpet, so they can get rid of the stain material, but the carpet may be a different color.
