I need to know the name of the lamps that existed on Bonanza.?
Question:My mother loves the lamps she sees on the tables in the houses on the old western television show Bonanza. I would love to get her one, but I don't know what they are called or even when they existed, since Bonanza is long off the air and was canceled before I existed. Can anyone help me out?
The lamps are large, colorful, and all glass. I believe they are kerosene, or oil lamps. Thanks to anyone with some information.

They are called Hurricane Lamps. They take lamp oil and I have them , small ones, I use for power outtages. Hope this helps.
Don't go looking for old ones because the glass will be old and brittle. Home Interior sells some that you can mount on the wall, like sconces kind of. I recently bought one from my local Drug Mart store, Walmart should sell them too, but good luck findinf them in that store! lol. Craft stores sell them too, but more expensive, same quality. The brand I have is called Lamplight Farms.
if u'r talking about the ones that look like they have chimney coming out of it... yeah.. they r oil lamps... U can usually pick them up at garage sales... thrift stores. vintage stores... antique stores. swap meets... etc... Sometimes u can find them in inexpensive stores... but the real ones did burn w/ oil & u can replace the hurricane & wicks from Michaels & they also carry the oil. U could even ck. there... to add color if u can't find color ones... jst add food coloring to the oil but they also make colored lantern oil as well..Michaels.
If u'r going for some older ones... ck the lst stores i mentioned but if u'r going for something new.. then Michaels.
Beware if u go to some vinetage & antique stores... u will pay a pretty penney unless u know they r or r not a anique. So try the lst stores lst..
