My dining room is perpendicular to my living room |_. You walk through the dining room to get to the living room and they share a common wall. I was thinking of painting 3 living room walls stone harbor and paint the shared living room/dining room wall a different color, the same color I will paint my dining room. What color would go well with Stone Harbor?
I was thinking of painting my dining room a soft yellow or a cream, but I kinda want some color in there. It has light colored hardwood floors, the curtains are a rose pink color, the dining room chair cushions have an olive green background with a purple paisley pattern. The living room has a light gray carpet. Any suggestions or comments would be great.
Answers:
I would stick with cream in the dining and carry your accent color thru. Maybe a soft green-not really a yellow green, with a bit of sage to it because of the purple tones in your gray.
A shade of the olive green would be nice. Either deeper or lighter than your chair cushions.
i agree olive green will look good...but i also like ur soft yellow cream idea.
Try and dark redbrown color like rusty but more crimson it will bring out all of the colors in your room and not be too overbearing yet striking in contrast to the greybrown
Green would be nice, or the right shade of maroon..it's kinda hard to give a good suggestion without seeing all the colors, though. I'd even say deep purple, but it's a color you have to get just right. Good luck!!
