What is the average cost to rent furniture (like a living room set, bedroom set for example)?
Question:
Answers:
You can go to these Rent-to-Own stores and ask them about their Cash and Carry items! They are usually in pretty good shape and the people that previously had them couldn't afford them and so they were repo'd. They aren't allowed to re-rent them to other customers so they have to sell them out right. They usually go for like $200 for the couch and loveseat! That is a great deal! You should check it out. That is how I got my whole bedroom set for $200 and I'm about to go and get a living room set which the one I want they are asking $250, but I'm sure I will be able to talk them down to $200! It is a much better deal than renting from them! You will save so much $ in the long run. Good Luck on your search.
idk
if you are talking about this rent-to-own furniture, forget it-- its the biggest rip off going. you make a payment of $100.00 and that payment is cut in half so, $50.00 is for the rental, then you have 50.00 left and they take the tax out of that and whatever the balance is, that is applied to the purchase of the furniture. There is another off around that is better and that is, a furniture store will allow you to pay the tax as the down payment and they will give you a year to pay in full for the things. They do not charge you shipping and handling and namufacturer charges if you pay it in full. I bought a house full of new furniture this way, one room at a time. i have a bedroom suite ( in oak) a computer desk and entertainment centre (in oak) a chesterfield and recliner and an oak aquarium and oak coffee table and end tables and it only took 5 years to get it all. but i am set for 20 years. think about it but stay away from "rent-to-own"
