Answers:
Yes you can make a good living if you get on the circuit in the rural south. They are big on crafts and country and shabby chic and every single little town or wide spot in a road has a summer crafts fair and most places have buildings that run all year and if you get into a popular one of those, you can do pretty good.
i dont know the answer BUT for inspiration i suggest you watch trash to treasure which is part of decorating cents, a show on hgtv. dc is a half hour show, t2t is only a few minutes. the stuff is so clever. great for ideas. i'm not encouraging you to steal ideas but rather to get inspired. good luck
I have A friend in AZ that does just that and she does quite well.
Also in MN there is A huge store downtown Minneapolis that
does that also ,they are often featured on HGTV's trash to treasure show.
You just need to do your research to see if your area has A market for that style of decor , as it is not every ones "cup of tea"
Absolutely. Go to HGTV.com and they have a show called Decorating Cents and Trash to Treasure. Also check out your thrift shops, go out the night before garbage pickup in your area, and you cannot tell what you will find. Seek out garage sales and tag sales for used furniture and The Salvation Army, and Good Will. As far as fabric, I know a great website called: fabricguru.com. They have every kind of fabric in creation, all different yardage, mill ends, of all the best designers of upgrade fabric at rock bottom prices. Check out that site. Good Luck.
