Under the sea bathroom- need some ideas?

Question:I'm doing our bathroom an under the sea motif for our son.
The walls are a big mural to look like you're standing on the ocean floor.
I need some clever ideas for the towel holder- I was thinking of making it look like a peice of coral- but I'm not sure how to go about it-
I also need a clever way to make the laundry chute blend in...
and if there are any other ideas of things I could do- I'd love to hear them.
Thanks!

Answers:
for the towel holder use a wooden dowel and paint it the red coral color. Use outdoor craft paint- it is water resistant and will last longer. Once you have painted the dowel the red coral color take a pencil eraser and dip it into dark gray paint and make dots all around the towel rod. Then go back and trim the dots with sand or light gray colored paint. This will make the " sponge " look. You can take and hot glue on large shells to cover the ends ( use wood for it to stick ) and you will have a cute towel rack.

If your laundry chute is an actual chute that runs through the wall and the clothing comes out in a basket on the other end, then take and make the opening a fish mouth or the inside of a clam shell. That will get your son to want to put his clothes in their. He can " feed " the fish or clam his dirty laundry.
IF you are talking about a clothes hamper that sits on the floor, then buy a sand colored one and attach shells and star fish to the front. It will blend and if one pops off you can hot glue right back on and noone is the wiser.

I'm not sure how to make the towel holder...but how about hanging some star fish on the walls?...they hang well on tack nails.
Paint the ceiling as if you were looking up. Some sunrays, possibly the bottom of a boat, some fish above, etc.
Is it possible to make your luandry chute look like a sunken treasure chest?
you can use regular wooden dowels, attach to the wall, hot glue star fish, coral, or any other fish on the ends, for the towel rods,You get more space for kids towels that way.
To hid your laundry chute have you thought of enlarging a picture of a sunken vessel or a undersea castle or treasure chest, using spray glue attach to the door of the chute.
