What is the best to use to stain and waterproof a wooden deck?

Question:

Answers:
Thompson's waterseal is wonderful. We use it on the deck around our pool so we have to reapply it once a year. It is very simple to use, we put it in a sprayer (the same type you would use to spray bug killer or weed killer, a garden sprayer) and just put a thin coat on it. You can but a 5 gallon bucket of the sealer for around $50 and you can get a sprayer for around $10 and they can both be purchased at Wal-Mart. We have not used the waterseal tinted with stain, but I do know it is available in the Thompson's as well, but it is much more expensive.

I just built a new home and have several redwood decks. I tried several products. I determined that porter deck stain worked the best for me.
