I'm redecorating my room and dont know what color to paint my walls...?
Question:I have a bright colored bed spread, which I plan on keeping. I want my room to match it so everything is going to be bright, all different colors, blue, purple, pink, green, orange, teal and yellow. But I want my walls to be really cool. Something that makes the colors even more noticable, I was thinking black but that makes the room look really small. Any Ideas?

I know it sounds boring, but if you really want the colors in your room to pop, white walls would allow for that. I'm afraid that if you did anything too bold on the walls the rest of the bright colors in your room would just disappear, blending into the wall. If you are against white you could pick out colors from your bedspread and do each wall a different one of those colors. You could also divide your walls about 3/4 of the way up and paint the bottom half one color (the darker color) and the top half another color (the lighter color). If you decide to go with white walls but want to add some interest, you could do one stripe, or a series of multi-colored stripes horizontally around the room, straight, curved, at varying levels, etc. You could also just leave the walls plain and do a really cool ceiling treatment - like blocks of all of the colors in your room. Good luck!
I am getting ready to re-do my bedroom too, what I am planning is to paint different colored stipes, or do each wall a diff color. All the colors you have picked out are really pretty. Hope I helped a little bit!!
Good Luck
A soft blue. Blue is very calming and will help even out the brighter colors, while also drawing attention to them.
it depnds on ur room size. im repainting my room to, and i was gonna do bright colors too, but my room is small. so im doin a light purple with bright color dots on top of that
Agree with the suggestion for very light walls if you want the bed spread to really pop. If white sounds a little bland, then aa almost white color like pale blue, soft lavender, pale green or even a creamy yellow. If you want a little more punch than that, you can paint a wide border of a darker color horizontally around the center of the room, or paint the wall opposite from your bed a dark color as a contrast wall.
Good luck
