Is black a color?
Question:Is black a color or is it a shade? ( by shade, I have no clue what I mean)
Answers:
There are truly two answers to this question and they are yes and no:)
#1) In lightwaves, black is the absence of all light waves, ie: no color.
#2) In pigment or paint, black is the presence of ALL colors. Think about being a young kid fingerpainting and mixing all the colorst together and you got that yucky chocolate pudding black mess:)
Hope this helps.
yes it is and I love ur sence of style. Wanna be friends?
This question is a little philosophical but convention says white is the combination of all colors, and black is the absence of color.
Black is the shade of objects that do not reflect light in any part of the visible spectrum.
Scientifically black is not a hue (color); a black object absorbs all the colors of the visible spectrum and reflects none of them, this is sometimes confused with black being called 'a mixture of all colors' but that is not the case. In fact an object emitting or reflecting all colors would be white. Sometimes black is described as an "achromatic color"; in practice black can be considered a color, e.g., the black cat or black paint.
YES
Yes, black is a color. Actually, black is the combination of all of the basic colors. White is a color, also, but it is the absence of the basic colors.
