Should i paint my room yellow?
Question:I'm thinking of painting my room a pastel yellow. Just a nice light one. I heard that it makes you feel happy and yellow makes you think better , I'm 14 do you think this is a good color to paint my room?
What other colors go with yellow that are girly?

I just finished painting my room a pale yellow a week ago. I've been sleeping in it for 4-5 days, and I have to say that I absolutly love it.
I chose a chocolate brown and an antique white finish for my accent colors. It looks so pretty and open.
The only advice I have for you would be to avoid too much orange or green in your yellow. If you do a yellow, it needs to be really pale. Also, make sure that your brown isn't too green, or it can make the yellow look kind of lime-ish.

Yellow is for kitchens...the color wakes you up in the morning when you have breakfast..I would rather have a darker...but not too dark for the bedroom, it's supposed to help you sleep better than brite colors. You can always try a "girlie" border?
I think a soft yellow would be really pretty. Blue, red or green accessories would be nice and feminine.
Yellow would be a good colour if you actually like that colour. And you can also use orange with it to give it a summer look. By the way I'm not gay its just that there are alot of hot girls that wear those colours together. :}
I thought you wanted it to be beachy, daisy? yeah go ahead paint ur room yelllow. light green is also a nice calm, refreshing colour, just so u know. and if u want ultimate girly, why not pink? or do u still want it to be beachy?

yellow is a vibrant color and goes well with lavender and dark purple, the contrast is great...it also goes well with a light mint green or pinks...if you go to diynetwork.com you can find some great ideas...hope it helps
there is a yellow that is called antique white or devon cream, something like that. It is a very pale, very vibrant soft cream yellow. I did my whole apartment livingroom that color and with white frames, baseboards, it looked awesome. Especially when the sun shone into the room. The landlord liked it so much, I didn't have to paint over it when I left. AVOID HARVEST YELLOW, TOO MUCH ORANGE.
bubble mentioned devon cream #OC-102. it is a benjamin moore color. it's a nice color but it's like a peach when you put it next to a real yellow like little dipper #324
If you want a girly room- Go ahead with a very pastel yellow, you may want to do a pink or pastel purple as a trim color. A crisp white would go on the ceiling. You can go to a craft store and buy stencils of flowers and leaves. tape it to the wall and with a small brush paint them in. Chose really bright colors for the flowers. You can create a headboard for your bed by making a square with your stencils and shaping it like a headboard. If your really good at drawing you might want to create a picket fence in the corner and draw on flowers like they are climbing the fence
