Answers:
I did 2 shades of blue and 2 shades of green in my room when I was in high school.

The North and West walls were light blue (pale blue) on top and darker (sky blue) on bottom. Where the two colors met on the wall I took a wave stencil I made out of cardboard to cover the paint line. On the East and South wall I painted them both a dark green (a dark lime color) and since the south wall had a window in the middle I used a light green (honeydew melon color) and painted 2 giant stencil like palm trees. At the time I had a multi colored palm tree blanket, then as I got towards then end of high school I wanted a less "busy" comforter and got a solid navy blue one which still went very well with my walls.

If I were you, paint your walls any color you like. You may end up changing your comforter then you'll have "unmatching" wall...paint the walls a color you like, that compliments the comforter but a color or colors that aren't so bold or in a pattern that you can't change things around in your room...

good luck!

try putting green stripes. or you could reverse it and have green walls with blue polka dots.
you could paint two walls one color and two another, or just paint one wall a different color. Instead of painting any circles on the wall, try to find some circle frames. You could paint them the opposite color of the wall you are putting them on. Use other 'round' things in the room to carry out the circle theme without over doing it. Good Luck!
Verticle lines (very wide bands) would be a good start. I wouldn't do an entire room in circles, or around a piece of bedding...bedding is easier changed than walls are. Verticle lines also make the room seem larger. Horizontal would make it feel as though the ceilings were taller...don't you watch HGTV?
Paint the wall that you have your bed against, paint it with the bright blue and green stripes all the way going from top of ceiling to bottom of floor, but remember only paint 1 wall, otherwise itll look too busy, this will look like a beautiful main attraction or showpiece for your room =) good luck, hope whatever u decide it turns out nice =)
