My fence is it!?
Question:We have this garden fence, concrete post, concrete gravel board, and timber panel. My neighbour has screwed a wooden post to one of my concrete post. Can he do this without my concent. Thanks in advance
Answers:
Strictly speaking, if it really is your fence, then he/she shouldn't have done it without your permission, because the screwholes have damaged your property slightly. You have three options: sue (which is overkill, and will leave you a lot poorer), have a row with your neighbour (but arguments over things like this can escalate into long-term unpleasantness, which won't leave either of you feeling any better) or shrug your shoulders and maybe try and find a tactful way of saying that you don't really mind, but in future it would be nice to be asked beforehand.
It isn't really worth falling out over, by the sound of it.
If it is on his side of the fence, then Yes.The boundary is common ground. You share the fence. But you can ask him for repairs on your fence, if he breaks it.
This is more a question of law than a question for decorating a remodelling. you should put it in another category if you want an answer that will help you. Try the legal category for correct answers.
Good luck!
Actually he can on his side of the fence.
To be honest if you asked him to take it off all he would have to do is concrete it in right by your post. This would be exactly the same result as you have now. Think neighbourly and ignore it, even if you think he should have asked. No reason to fall out over something that you have no control over...
He's a cheeky Bas***d though.LOL
It's a lump of concrete...which u probably won't have to change ever ...get over it ..if u do need to remove the post ..just do it without informing ur neighbour and take his wooden post with it and what ever they have attached to it.
yes
