How to liven up a gallon of paint?

Question:I am painting my doors and trim and the paint I'm using is getting thicker by the minute, Can I use a little paint thinner to thin it out without compromising the quality of the paint?

Answers:
Careful now. you can't add paint thinner to latex paint. and you can't add water to oil paint. read the instructions on your can about how to thin your paint.

Yep, just add it slowly, cause you can't take it back out again!
If it is an oil-based paint then yes.If it is an acrylic paint then thin out with water.
