Need Ideas on how to redecorate my room?
Question:So I'm a teenage girl and over this summer, I'm starting to clean my room and my mom said I could redecorate since a good chunk of my room was previously over run with crap. So, I need ideas. I'm anything but a girly girl, but not exactly a tomboy. I like drawing, painting, writing and reading. Oh and music, mostly rock, punk and alternative. My favorite colors are block, silver and dark blue. Any ideas? It's a pretty big room, considered the master bedroom and I have it all to myself. Thanks in advance.

Wallpaper is actually coming back. Especially in vintage patterns. You can do a lot more than you think with a little imagination and an appreciation for the past. Check out these images to get some inspiration:

I think they are lovely examples of bringing the old with the new. It sounds like you might be able to appreciate a more sophisticated look and the house sounds like it pretty old, so maybe this is what your looking for.

murels are always cool on the walls, decorate a step ladder for shelving.
go to hgtv.com and diynetwork.com and you can get hundreds of cool ideas to redecorate...they have some really cool things to do...hope it helps.
have lots of layers on the bed and curtains using dark blue/navy and silver.
Try to keep things in that colour scheme and if you wanted you could have a little section for drawing and painting with something painted on the wall .Like if your walls were dark blue you could paint something on it in silver and vice versa!
