Painters - How much do you charge for a room?
Question:I'm a student painter, and sometimes we have trouble estimating the right price.
How much do you guys charge for a average medium-sized room? Lets assume that this room is big enough to use up 80%-100% of a gallon. This includes 2 coats on walls, one coat on baseboard, and no ceilings.

350 is a fair price if they buy the paint.
u know it really varies from city to city or town to town. I've learned that the bigger the city & more demand painters/faux finishers r the higher the price charged. On the other hand., my neighbor who does paint for commerical he says that most charge per sq. ft... which could range from $2-6.oo to $25.-30.00 a hr... so it really does vary. That' in NV...

Being a student, you're going to get less than a professional. I've paid up to $300 for a professioal painter and as little as $100 per room for a Mexican (who I guess was also professional).
