Im moving in2 a room that has green carpet(grosse), im aloud change everything but the carpet, any ideas??
Question:im 16, idealy would like to paint the room pink!! im aloud change the curtains and wall color but nt the dark green carpet, plz help...i lik bright things if that helps:)

Area rugs. You can scatter them, overlap them, or get one big enough to cover the entire room.
Paint the walls pink and then find some fabric that has pink & red roses with green leaves for your curtains and a few throw pillows. Those should help pull in the dark green carpet and make it part of the decor rather than an eyesore.
I think lavender walls w/ a light gray base baord would look nice other wise keep the walls an off white
try putting long rug carpets on your floor.It can cover you green that you think is ugly.
i might get a lotta thumbs downs for this answer but what i once did to modify the look of a carpeted room was i nailed carpenters pegboard to the floor then i put a much nicer area rug on top of the pegboard. in between the pegboard and the area rug i had an anti-slip sheet called ruglock. i could have also skipped the ruglock and used self-stick tiles instead (vinyl tiles from a dollar store). if there's nice/new wood under the green carpet your parents will hate my idea and want to strangle me, but in my case the wood floors under the carpet were very old and in bad condition
Use pink, lavendar and yellow. I think a shaggy pink floor rug would look really cool! Lots of throw pillows and cool lamp shades using all these colors. This will take the eye off the floor.
