Does a window a/c also act as a ventilator?
Question:If I fit a window ac in my room will the stagnant air be removed periodically, so that I get some fresh air to breath inside the room? Thanks for your time!

there is a fan that push the cold air into your room but to say it will act as a ventilator is a bit pushy. remember you have to clean the filter in front of your A/C on a regular basis that will ensure the unit to work better and also the air should be better. the other option is too open your windows early when it's still cool and breezy to get some fresh air.
It really depends on the model of air conditioner that you are using. I have one that has a fan, and also an air exchanger feature, which means it removes air from the room and replaces it with outside air. These can be a bit more expensive, but they work well in small areas. You can always run the a/c for just 10 to 15 mins to freshen up the athmosphere in your room, also you may want to invest in one of those ionic air filters. I have two in my apartment and they really work well also.
