What to do with rusty trusses, forlains and braces of a roof of a building>?

Question:The iron trusses, and forlains, and braces are already rusty and the old paints and peeling.

Answers:
This sounds like alot of work anyway you look at it. I would sandblast these pieces on the ground and then spray them with the appropriate products. This to me seems to be the most cost effective way, only if you plan on using them again, if not, scrap the metal, you just might make some money.

Use a stiff wire brush on the rusty metal , clean and paint with rusty metal primer (brush painting is better) before painting to the desired color. It is dirty work and slow going but well worth the effort. Use a respirator or good mask when taking down the old paint.
