Any good American home improvement stores?
Question:im looking for internet sites for home improvement stores in america as im moving there soon from the uk and it would be good to see whats what.

As others have said, Home Depot, Lowes and J C Penny are three good stores. Some other things you will probably find - these stores carry stock - you won't have to wait 6 weeks for your order to be half delivered and half forgotten, the shop assistants seem to know something about the goods they sell - they are not dummies like at Focus and B & Q, they are often 5 times the size of British shops and their prices are about one half of British prices or less.
Home Depot and Lowes are two pretty good ones I can think of, oh and JC Penny's is good for beds and stuff
Lowe's & Home Depot are the two biggest chains that I know of. Also Ace Hardware.

There are many American Home Stores. It just counts on where you are moving. In almost every state there is the Home Depot and Lowe's. You could maybe go to Sears or Macy's for furniture. I hope this helps. ;)
