How to remove chewing gum from clothing?
Question:i somehow got some chewing gum on the back of a new top while i was out one night. someone suggested putting it in the freezer as it will freeze the gum and you can pick it off, but that hasnt worked.
any other suggestions? i want to wear it tomorrow night!
Answers:
As the freezer thing didn't work, try an ice cube over it, or as the other person said, peanut butter.
Put peanut butter on it.
let it get cold like u can put it under cold water or in a freezer
it'll get off
I used to sell Amway products- they have a product called LOC that will take gum out and never hurt the material
I've always put ice on the spot to harden the gum then gotten off as much as I could with my fingernails.
If any gum is left, reapply ice & do above again until it's all off.
soak the spot where the chewing gum on it in vinegar for about an hour, then see if you can pick it off, if not, soak for a little longer and see if you can pick it off then and so on
"WD-40" or any similar petroleum based solvent. (a water based solvent will not work).
You should also look for a product named "goof-off", it also works well.
There is a hand cleaner called GOOP that will remove anything.Rub it on the spot with gum and leave for about 30 minutes to an hour before washing.I used this method on a CK tee and you couldn't tell that the gum was ever there.
put a paper bag on it and iron it. The gum will transfer to the bag.
Don't use any products with oils in it when you remove gum from clothing, you may cause the material to stain. If anything, use a laundry pre-treatment only.
But the paper bag trick works every time for me.
it does work try it or put the ice cube on it and then just pick it off, wassh it and dry it and look for anything left over should it be any and have a good day and go on with your fun.
