How do I get an iron on transfer off a sweatshirt?

Question:I have a sweatshirt that I want to keep, but I don't like an image on the front. Is there a way to remove the iron on transfer? I already tried a paper towel and an iron, it didn't work! Any suggestions or should I just forget about it?
