Does anyone know of a great vacuum cleaner in the 200.00 dollar range?
Question:It needs to be powerful enough for a house of 6 kids, dogs and a cat. Also very important, is that the belt be easy to replace. I have a miele vac. but the belt is so impossible to replace, I just want to get rid of it!!

I bought a basic Riccar vacuum for about that price a few years ago. It has held up extremely well - I have 6 kids and a cat, too (but no dogs), as well as a husband who has a penchant for ruining vacuums. He has been unable to destroy this one! The belts and bags are easy to change. It has plenty of power and a super long cord.

Good luck.
I think the best vacuum on the market is a Simplicity. It is affordable within your range. Lightweight easy to handle, attachments on back and the belt is easy to replace. I have clean offices and house for over 20 years and have used every vacuum under the sun. My brother has a janitorial business and that is what he uses. I have a Simplicity in my own home and it is durable. I have two dogs. I only have on child. It is made in the USA. The only place I have seen the Simplicity is at local vacuum stores if you do not have one try a janitorial supply store.
I believe I can save you a lot of money*... I bought a Bissell Powerforce Upright Vac with attachments and 12 amp motor with warranty at Walmart about 6 months ago *. It is a bagless Vac and very powerful*.. It only costs #50.00 and I highly recommend it for your home*...It is fantastic*.. You won't be disappointed*...Bissell stands behind their product*...It also has the hepa filter and to other filters to protect the motor*...Easy to change the belt also*... Please check it out before buying*...
Panasonic, had it for years and it's always reliable. Also has a bypass motor so if you suck up stuff it won't ruin the motor.
