Side effects on Amitriptyline?


Question:Taking Amitriptyline and I just now noticed this side effect maybe?, on the side of the bottle. It says "You should avoid prolonged or excessive exposure to the direct and/or artificial sunlight when taking this medicine."

What exactly does that mean? And why should I avoid sunlight when taking this medicine?
