What's the proper way to wash a baby quilt?
Question:It was a donated blanket that my daughter received when she was in the NICU. I don't want to ruin it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

When we left the hospital with our son, we left with about 5 handmade quilts that were donated to the hospital. They are very delicate and have to be handled with care. You can wash them in the washer, by themselves with a gentle laundry soap. When they are done washing, I simply lay them flat on my laundry table and let them dry. Hope this helps!! Nichole
The safest way would be to hand wash with a mild childrens detergent. That way no matter what the fabric is you can't ruin it.
MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE THE BABBY FIRST!!!!
Hand washing is best, but you can also put it in the washer, using the gentle cycle. I'm not sure I would put it in the dryer since it's got so much sentimental value. It probably wouldn't hurt it, but I believe I would hang or lay it flat to dry.
