I spilled candle wax on my parents deck, which is made out of fake wood, Trecs i think. How do i get it off?

Question:I tried scraping it off, sanding it off, pouring hot water on it and then scraping, now what?

Answers:
Try a hot iron on a wet towel on top of it. Make sure you only put the iron on the towel. It will melt the plastic deck. It should loosen the wax enough to get it off.

Browne paper cover the wax and then a t towel over the paper and then the hot iron
Run a hair dryer over the wax until it's to the point where it's really soft & you can scrape it off the deck with a butter knife.
I agree with Bugger. The brown paper (like a paper bag from the market) will really absorb the wax. Just keep checking and moving the paper as necessary. Had to do this once because of candle wax on our carpet and it worked great!
Put peanut butter on the wax and with a HOT rag out of the microwave wrap a putty knife with the rag and gently scrap the wax without scratching the wood surface.
